Mrs. Ada M. Gee Green daughter of the late Deacon Jessie and Ruth Friday Gee, was born on January 6, 1930, in Florence County , South Carolina. After a long illness, Ada quietly entered her resting home of peace and eternal resting home on April 7, 2011 at 6:45p.m.

Ada received Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Timmonsville, South Carolina. After moving to Bowling Green, Virginia, Ada joined Bethel Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Virginia. She served very faithfully there, and later she joined the 2nd Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Milford, Virginia; in December 1994, where she was also very active and faithful. She was a member of the Senior Choir, did Missionary Work and was a participant in many church activities. She especially enjoyed Senior activities daily at the Caroline Community Center in Bowling Green, Virginia.

Ada attended the public schools in Timmonsville, South Carolina, after graduating; Ada continued her education at the University of Orangeburg College in Orangeburg, South Carolina. In 1959 Ada moved to Washington, D.C. She was an employee of the Department of the National Institute of Health as a Dietician for 10+ years. Some years later she met the late Mr. Herbert Green in which they were united in holy matrimony in 1963. To this union no children were born.

Ada was the 6th of fourteen children. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters; Inell Brown and Edith Adkinson and 3 brothers; Freddie, Rudolph and Henry Gee.
Ada was a loving sister, she left to cherish her memories her 2 loving brothers, Jonathan Gee (Johnnie) of Forestville, Maryland and Norman Gee (Mildred) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; 5 loving sisters, Catherine Johnson (Dolphus Sr.) of Hyattsville, Maryland, Janie Couser (Ernest Sr.) of Blackwood, New Jersey, Sarah Quillen, Ruby Josey, and Jessie Bell Barr (Jeffery) all of Timmonsville, South Carolina and an adopted sister Ruth Helen Cummings of Charlotte, North Carolina. 3 sisters-in-law; Lillie Bell Gee, Pearlie Mae Gee both of Timmonsville, South Carolina, and Ruth Green of Bowling Green, Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
