Aaron Franklin Holmes

Aaron Franklin Holmes, son of the late Aaron E. and Emily T. Holmes, was born April 11, 1934 and departed this life on June 12, 2007 at his residence.
Frank was educated in the King and Queen Public Schools system and spent his adult life working the Department of Corrections.
His affiliations: Member of First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Former Member Board of Trustees. Retired Former- Juvenile Justice System- Supervisor (34 years), King and Queen County School Board (23 years), Former King and Queen Planning Commission Member, King and Queen County School Bus Driver (12 years), Member of King and Queen County ASCS Committee, Deputy Sheriff- King and Queen County.
Life Member of: Welcome Masonic Lodge #125- F and AM., Virginia and American Correctional Associations, Virginia Sheriffs Institute, Newtown Sportsmen Association, and Virginia Volunteer Rescue Squads Association.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Holmes. His survivors are : his wife Doris R. Holmes; one sister Thelma Boxley and her husband L.W.; three step-sons Robert Baylor, Clarence and Walter Wright; two-step daughters, Hazel Burrell and Jackie Dawson; a devoted cousin Mary Ethel Broaddus ; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives, including a devoted cousin Joe Holmes.
